I first started making these large bowls to fire in the wood kiln. Their simple form is the perfect canvas for recording markings from flame and ash, which can obfuscate more complex sculptural forms. I now produce these bowls in all of my colorways to suit any interior, whether dramatic or subdued.
These bowls can be viewed in my studio in Saint Paul, at Sara Japanese Pottery in New York, and at Signature Shop in Atlanta.
